Senior Consultant – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) - Germany

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Consultant to join our team and support the delivery of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with customers, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and contributing to successful cloud transformation projects.

You will be responsible for implementing VCF environments, supporting automation and operational improvements, and integrating NSX and Kubernetes technologies. The role is remote-first, but requires occasional travel to customer sites within Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and support VCF implementations across enterprise environments.
Assist in technical workshops, assessments, and deployment planning.
Configure and optimise NSX within VCF environments.
Support automation and operations using tools like SDDC Manager and APIs.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and customer teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment and operations.
Document implementation steps, configurations, and customer-specific adjustments.
Stay up to date with VMware technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

Solid experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployments.
Hands-on expertise with NSX (NSX-T preferred).
Familiarity with VCF automation and operations tools and workflows.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container platforms.
Strong understanding of virtualisation, networking, and storage.
Excellent communication skills in German and English.
Ability to work independently and in customer-facing environments.
Willingness to travel for customer onsite visits as needed.
Valid work permit for Germany and must be physically located in Germany.

Preferred Qualifications:

VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP).
Experience with scripting (PowerCLI, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and workload migration strategies.

Compensation:

Fixed annual salary: €65,000 – €95,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Performance bonus: Based on project delivery, customer satisfaction, and team contribution
